Little Ollie Bear
Last night we went for a walk on the Seawalk and a coffee at Fogg Dukkers. My little Ollie Bear just didn't want to walk. Once he gets going and finally comes to the realization that my will is going to be done not his, he walks just fine. It's just getting him going. Maybe I need a treat on the end of a stick to motivate him. Anyway, there was live music at Fogg Dukkers and it was such a warm night, we stayed quite a while to just look at the ocean and enjoy the music. It was absolutely beautiful.
This morning I went for a walk with Vicky. Ollie (mind you I just grabbed him out of his bed), just would not get going. I dragged him along the driveway and had to pull and tug to get him moving. Vicky had a good laugh about it. I was telling him that I wasn't lying. Dogs really do love to walk. They actually get excited when they get to go. It is a fun thing I am doing with him. He doesn't buy it. Eventually he started walking and I praised him for what a good boy he was being walking so well and he, well no other way to describe it, pranced. He looked like a Clydesdale highstepping. Now my little baby is sound asleep and loving it.
I've got things to do, but very little motivation. I really should just pick a task and get at it. I don't think I'm even motivated enough to write a chore list. Seems a bit like a chore in itself to me. I only have 4.5 hours of War and Peace to read and I think I will make a coffee and read a little. It's off to Costco tonight for dinner ($1.50 foot long hotdog with pop) and some shopping. I told Phil I would take him out for dinner tonight. I hope he thinks it's as cool as I think it is to get dinner for $3.15 taxes included for two people. We'll just have to see.

That dog will figure it out eventually. He's got little legs and you walk FAR.
ReplyDeleteSide note.... Cute shirt in the picture. Looks familiar. :-)
